Current advertising status

There is no advertising and no ad cookie.

FootyPools does not load an advertising script, request an ad, or set an advertising cookie. Nothing on this site profiles you for advertising, and no advertising or analytics identifier is shared with a third party.

If advertising is ever introduced, this notice and a privacy choice control will be published before the first ad request is allowed to run.

Data we use

Only what is needed to run, protect, and score a pool.

• Account identity: email address, display name, sign-in provider, and the time you confirmed you are at least 13.
• Pool activity: memberships, pool settings, draft picks, scoring history, and recorded organiser actions.
• Service security: session and verification records, network information used for authentication and abuse prevention, and short-lived draft connection data.
• Product activity: limited records of events such as pool creation, joining, and draft completion. There is no session replay and no precise location.

Essential cookies keep signed-in accounts secure. Browser storage supports private invite access and helps a live draft reconnect reliably. Neither is used to build an advertising profile.

Match data

Results flow in. Nothing about you flows out.

Match results, the league table and club names are read from an independent football results provider. Football data provided by the Football-Data.org API. That is a one-way read of published competition data: your account, your pool and your picks are never sent to the provider, and the provider is never told that you exist.

Emails we send

Sign-in links, and nothing you did not ask for.

• Sign-in emails: a one-time link when you ask to sign in. These are required to use an email account and cannot be turned off.
• Pool notices: only messages about a pool you are actually in, such as an invitation you were sent or a draft you are due to attend.

There is no marketing list and no newsletter. Your email address is never shown to other players.

Retention and choices

Ask for a copy, or ask to be removed.

Account and pool history is retained until deletion. Detailed product activity records expire after 90 days; anonymous totals may be kept longer. Deletion removes identity and contact data, then anonymises historical membership while preserving picks and scoring integrity, so a completed pool stays consistent for the people who played in it.

To request a copy of your data or its deletion, email privacy@footypools.club from the address on the account. Self-service export and deletion controls will be published on the help page when they are available.

Age and contact

FootyPools is for people age 13 and older.

FootyPools does not knowingly permit children under 13 to create or join pools. Contact us if you believe an under-13 account was created so it can be reviewed and removed.
